What Is Your Real Business?

Do you really know what business you are in? The answer is actually very simple but not what you might expect. Most computer consultants I have met are great at the technical aspects of the business but sadly lacking in their marketing and sales abilities. You see, they “think” their in the “computer repair or networking (or insert what your business is here)”… business when in reality they are in the Marketing & Sales Business. You are actually a “marketer & seller” of your computer consultant services/products.

You have to be able to market your computer consultant business then sell your products and services to your prospective and current customers in order to survive and make the income you want. Sounds like a daunting task, huh? But really it’s not that difficult and anyone can do it. Remember, at one time you didn’t know anything about driving a car…. but you learned how. Same thing applies here, you can discover all you need to know in order to explode your business and blow your competition out of the water.

This is sometimes a hard concept for most computer consultants to grasp but your primary concerns and priorities should be your marketing. The right kind of marketing keeps more business coming to you. Once you have your marketing system in place, you can control business like a water faucet. Want more business, open up your marketing faucet.

Think about it, how nice would it be to go to bed at night knowing how much business you had the next day, the next week or even the next month. Plus in knowing this, you would also know how much money you could be expecting to generate from all this constant business. Your marketing “faucet” can achieve this for you.
